The Federal Health Insurance Exchange (also known as the Marketplace) Open Enrollment Period runs from November 1, 2020 to December 15, 2020, for coverage starting on January 1, 2021.

The Marketplace helps people without health coverage find and enroll in a plan

If you don’t have coverage through a job, Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), or another source, the Marketplace helps you find and enroll in a plan that fits your budget and meets your needs.

Want to change your 2020 plan?

Outside the open enrollment period, you can enroll in a private health plan through the Marketplace only if you qualify for a special enrollment period. You have a qualifying life event like having a baby, getting married, or losing minimal essential coverage.

• Information on everyone included in your upcoming tax return
• Social Security Numbers (SSNs) for everyone on your application
• Immigration document (only applies to legal immigrants)
• Employer & income information for everyone in your household
